We specialize in providing midwifery and birth supplies, homebirth kits, herbs, and herbal education for women and children's health. Our Mission
Our mission is to provide quality products that help to improve global maternal and infant health, one life at a time. We strive to be the retail shop of choice to midwives, doulas and families seeking birth supplies, herbs and natural parenting products. We will do our best to exceed your expectations in terms of service, shipping and product quality.
As part of our commitment to reduce global maternal and infant mortality, we pledge to donate 10% of our profits toward non-profit organizations that work to improve maternal and child health. This means that your purchase will go toward saving the lives of moms and babies worldwide. Watch our website for more information about global awareness and projects we support.
About Us
Kristen is a Licensed Midwife in Vermont state, a Certified Professional Midwife, and an Herbalist. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery granted by the National College of Midwifery, and is a graduate of the Naturally Healthy Community Herbalist program. Kristen has over a decade of experience attending births. Along with Matt, she served as a missionary midwife with Mercy In Action for over four years, serving the poor women of the Philippines and Mexico.
Matt is a Registered Nurse and works outside the home to support our family. He is also an experienced carpenter and handyman. Matt manages the behind-the-scenes aspects of the business.
We have four young children, all of whom were born at home with midwives. We home-school and home-business so that we can spend our days learning together.
Return Policy
All disposable items are non-returnable. Most other items may be returned, unopened, within 15 days of purchase. Customer is responsible for shipping costs. Refunds will be made after product is received by Midwifery Mercantile and verified to be in unopened condition, minus a 2% credit card transaction fee.
Environmental Stewardship
We do our best to be good stewards of our environment. We make great attempts to source products from like-minded vendors while reducing our own waste and operating in a low-impact way. When possible, we support local businesses to strengthen our community, use recycled boxes to ship products, and recycle or compost paper waste.
